Back Pain at the Desk? Fix Your Workstation
Eight hours at a badly set-up desk can do more harm than a weekend of sports. Raise your monitor to eye level. Keep feet flat on the floor. Use a chair with lumbar support. Stand and stretch every 45 minutes — set a timer. Strengthen your core twice a week; a strong core is a natural back brace. If pain radiates down a leg or causes numbness, book a spine consult promptly.
